Report of National Youth Parliament Competition 2025

Zonal level National Youth Parliament Competition Program was organized in Tukar Hall of Ewing Christian College. Phulpur Lok Sabha MP Shri Praveen Patel ji, Chanakya National Law University Registrar Prof Suresh Prasad Singh ji and MNNIT Prof Anubhav Rawat ji were present as jury members in the program. A total of forty students including the Speaker, Prime Minister and Leader of Opposition participated as young MPs in the Youth Parliament. In the competition of about an hour, the young MPs gave a live enactment of many proceedings like oath taking of new members, introduction of new ministers, question hour, breach of privilege, presentation of bills related to various subjects and private member bill. As the Prime Minister of the Youth Parliament, Arya Rajput apprised the Parliament of the situation after the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and assured that Jammu and Kashmir is moving ahead on its historic development journey. Opposition member Niharika Pandey drew the attention of the House to the mistreatment of students studying abroad. In response to this, the Foreign Minister of the Youth Parliament assured the Parliament that the Government of India is committed to the safety of all students studying abroad. Member of Parliament Himanshi drew the attention of the House to the severe floods in Kerala and accused the government of negligence. In response to which, Home Minister of the Youth Parliament Pragya Tiwari said that this is not the time to criticize each other but to come together and support the people of Kerala. She requested the Kerala government to make better use of the disaster system created by the Government of India.

Requested for better use. In the last session of Parliament, MP Harshita Tiwari presented a private member bill to amend the POCSO Act, which was accepted by the government. After this, the proceedings of the House were adjourned for the next day. Judge member Phulpur MP Shri Praveen Patel congratulated the MP participants and called upon them to make a career in politics. He told that a politician has to know and understand all the problems of the area and present them effectively in the Parliament in a very short time. Such competitions will technically enrich the MPs to be elected in the future. Competition coordinator Prof. Suresh Prasad Singh ji discussed about the improvement in various proceedings of the Youth Parliament. He said that it is very important to understand the functioning of the institution which works to make laws. Dr. Abhinav Rawat wished the participants good luck for the next round.

Principal Prof. Moses, who was presiding over the program, thanked the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and encouraged the participants. Program coordinator Dr. Prem Prakash Singh said that on the basis of solo performance, Speaker Sanchita Tripathi, Prime Minister Arya Rajput, Leader of Opposition Shweta Singh, Finance Minister Ms. Ranjit and MP Ashish Pal, who asked questions during Question Hour, were selected as the best parliamentarians. He hoped that this team would be selected for the national level youth parliament competition. Many eminent teachers including OCTA President Prof. Umesh Pratap Singh, Prof. Ashok Kumar Pathak, Prof. KL Pandey were mainly present in the program. Thank you
